As with every aspiring entrepreneur, I have spent years trying and failing at several business models. I had the best ideas, with the right marketing strategy and most competitive pricing, however I never realized the key component, which hindered my success were my relationships within my inner circle.
I once listened to Bishop T.D Jakes state that you will always have certain types of people in your life that play a key role to your development. In understanding this ideology, I realized that the best and most effective way to realize your goals in any business is that you MUST have three groups of individuals to create structure in your business relationships: positive, powerful and productive individuals.
How to identify each is quite simple.
A POSITIVE individual (or group) is a person who can uplift your spirits in your weakest moment. They are enthusiastic and have the ability to enrich your mind with the power to get up every morning with the purpose of achieving your business goals. I can always identify positive people who will stand with me by a simple test; ‘Good Morning.” If that person does not respond with vigor and enthusiasm at the start of a conversation, every conversation, then that is not who or what you need. Linger in like minded circles of entrepreneurs who are positive thinkers and have a can-do attitude no matter how big the challenge.
A POWERFUL person (or group) needs little introduction but a big explanation. There are some people who are powerful by wealth, and some people that just have the right connections. These are the people who are the gatekeepers to the successful individual you aspire to be. However, finding powerful people can be a challenge. You must be persistent, and the right connections will lead you to the right people whoa re holding the key to the next level of infinite possibilities.
The PRODUCTIVE individual is not a time waster. No matter what the circumstance is, this individual is trying it all. This is the person you can bounce ideas off of and they will not hold back in sharing with you. They are attending functions, networking events, hosting shows and the list goes on. They are productive because they live according to a vision, not the reality. They live for what will come, not what they have. This is essential to positive formation and growth in you business and life.
It is essential to have individuals in your life who definitively represent these qualities as you are moving closer toward your business goals. Success is a team sport and you cannot get there without support. Without quality support, you will not be able to move to the next stage to success. This is the time for you to experience your Journey 2 Success and dare to leap out on faith to realize your fullest potential…..
